The Scarlet is the newspaper of Clark University, and is written, laid-out, and compiled exclusively by students. The Scarlet is published weekly and is delivered to various locations on campus, including the University Center and Academic Commons on Thursday afternoons. The Scarlet staff meets on Wednesday nights at 9:30 p.m.

Submission Guidelines
The official deadline for The Scarlet is the Monday before publication at midnight. We will accept (but not guarantee printing) submissions up until Wednesday afternoon with previous notice.
- Articles should be approximately 600-800 words in length. Exceptions can be made, but to ensure that The Scarlet does not have to cut any of your piece during copy editing, please stay within the guidelines or let your section editor know so that we can make space in the layout.
- Articles should be mailed to the section editor in .doc format.
- Articles should be proof-read for errors before submission. Include sources where relevant.
- The Scarlet will reimburse reporting expenditures with advanced permission from the Editor-in-Chief.
