March by the student groups on campus. Aksheya is a non profit organization dedicated to alleviating the conditions of homeless in Madurai, India.

A short performance of Indian dance by the SASA student group gave an elegant start to the program. Aksheya is an organization which aims at providing help to helpless people in the form of food, love, care and shelter to hundreds of people in India. It was started as a one man army and now it has grown to be a large organization in the sector of community service. Mr. Krishnan founded the organization, leaving behind his career as one of the top chefs in India. During the interaction Mr. Krishnan mentioned that currently his organization is working on Aksheya home which will provide shelter and medical care to the homeless and the poor. It was an interesting discussion which brought awareness about our responsibilities towards our community.
